WELLTH WEDNESDAY // Links for Living

What are you working for? I’m not talking about just a paycheck. I want to know, at the end of the day or the month and eventually the year, when those paychecks add up, what are you going to spend them on? What are you going to INVEST them in?

I have to say — lately everywhere I look I see people investing more of their time, money and efforts into health and well being.

Is it just me or is WELLTH becoming the new WEALTH?

My coolest friends are trading in their luxury SUVs for Priuses. Instead of splurging on decadent steak dinners everyone seems to be spending their dining out money at high quality juice bars and organic cafes. Vaca weekends are all about detoxing at the spa rather than partying all night in Vegas. We are slowly but surely embracing the value of well being.

I am starting a new weekly blog piece called WELLTH WEDNESDAY to help us all best invest or time money and research into our wellth.

I’m going to start things off slow and steady this week with some good foundational resources. Here are some great links to help you wisely invest your time, money and resources:

Epicurious’ Seasonal Ingredient Map : Check out this interactive map to find out what produce is in season in your area before writing your shopping list.

Local Harvest : Looking for a local farmers market? The Local Harvest Organization has a comprehensive listing.

WebMD Glossary : There are a lot of different opinions when it comes to vitamins and supplements. This glossary is a great place to start your research.

Gaiam : This is my go-to authority for detailed proper yoga pose descriptions.

Oxford Food and Fitness : This dictionary of food and fitness terms is a great place to find muscle and move descriptions.

Have a beautiful day. Take some time to consider what makes you wellthy.
