    Hi Christine,

I remember the Side Crunch from the Lorna Jane event in Santa Monica this Spring – love that move – thanks for this fab workout! How long should it take to complete?

Is this suitable for beginners? I am just starting to develop an exercise regime for a sponsored weight loss – my daughter is fundraising to go on an expedition to Africa – and would like to do things at home to support my classes and running. Core being the main focus. Thanks.

Yes, just take each pose at your level. If it doesn’t feel great, skip it.

What would be a good substitute for the yogi lift?

      Hi Shiane
The yogi lift focuses on the lowest abs with the upper abs and waist stabilizing. Thus, a great alternative is lying on the floor with legs in air, and slowly lift hips off the ground then lowering with control. The key is all about the control.

This is quite an open question. It will all depend on current muscle mass, metabolism, diet and workouts. Sorry I can’t answer that for you, but I bet at 17 you would see them pretty quickly if you stuck to a fitness and nutritional program like the one found in Evolution20!
