Vertical Maple Water: Water On A Mission
Have you ever heard of Vertical Maple Water? If not, that’s okay because I didn’t either until I stumbled across it at a little market near my home a couple of days ago! It is seriously my new, GO-TO beverage of choice! I know, I know…a couple of weeks ago I was reaping the benefits of coconut water and don’t get me wrong, I LOVE coconut water, BUT this stuff….is 1/3 the calories and sugar content of coconut water!
Vertical Water is a plant-based beverage made solely from a Maple tree. Crazy, right? Not only does it have reduced sugar content, but it’s travel time and distance is also 1/3 shorter than coconut water from forest to table.
Here are some of the basics of Vertical Maple water as well:
• It’s 100% pure maple water right from the tree
• It’s a single ingredient, naturally low calorie beverage with a hint of sweetness
• It contains 40 trace minerals and nutrients not available from tap water
• It’s naturally occurring with no added ingredients
And it’s totally not what you think it would be either (I kind of know what you’re thinking..that it’s made from just maple syrup and water)…
WRONG! There’s no sticky sap, water mixed with maple syrup. It’s solely water made naturally from maple trees!
And here’s why I love this beverage so much (besides the ah-mazzzzing nutritional values):
• It’s sourced, bottled, and packaged within the U.S.
• It’s committed to its mission to conserve American forestlands
• It’s available nationally in traditional grocery stores, as well as independent natural food retailers
Did I also mention that this beverage is not just refreshing, but it also has a mission: to conserve American Forestlands! This was primarily started as part of the efforts of Feronia Forests
Oh but wait…it gets BETTER….
By drinking this heavenly water, in other words, sharing maple water from the trees it conserves and preserves the trees. Meaning, there’s no reason to knock these trees down if we are utilizing them for a purpose.
When it comes down to it: Maple water= Healthier forests
Feronia Forests is also an award winning corporation who vowels to conserve and protect the forestland.
But why does this matter?
Forests help sustain our lives, by purifying the air we take in every day, to providing the foundation to our homes; Feronia Forests vows to continue doing just that. They continue to give a reason why these trees are here for a purpose, which in a lack of better words is called “Sustainable Full Forestry” and Vertical Maple Water is ONE of many ideas to do this.
By drinking this water everyday makes you a member of this mission too because you feel like you are contributing to it.
I know the next thing you’re thinking is….How is this water made exactly though?
Winter brings snow, which eventually turns into water, right? Well, as warmer days approach, the water rises up from the ground into the maple trees. Yup. That’s it. And you know what’s so awesome about this process? There’s a reason why it’s called “vertical” water. As the water moves up the trunks and branches, it moves in a vertical fashion, delivering nutrients to the trees for growth too. The water is then naturally filtered and fortified with trace nutrients, which is when Vertical Maple Water comes to life. All they do is tap the flow of this water and TADA! Heavenly sweet maple water, with only 3 grams of sugar per 240 mL per serving is alive.
Whelp, that’s all folks. This water is clearly amazing and definitely should be a drink to try. Check your local health food stores for this heavenly beverage, try it out, and DRINK up the wonderful nutrients it delivers.
